I’m Not Who I Was. And That’s the Whole Point.
I’ve always been interested in my personal growth, but one key moment stood out to me. I remember sitting with myself one evening last August, quieter than I’d been in a long time.
Not peaceful quiet. The kind of quiet that arrives when life has been loud for too long and something inside you finally says, “Enough.” Sit down. Pay attention.
So I did. And that evening marked the beginning of what I can only describe as my personal growth journey. A slow, honest, sometimes uncomfortable process of looking inward and choosing to evolve.
And in that stillness, something shifted. I started noticing things. Not just about the season I was in, but about myself—the patterns I carried, the way I showed up, and the things I’d been accepting without question. About the kind of person I was becoming and the kind of person I actually wanted to be.
It wasn’t one big revelation. It was more like a slow light coming on in a room you’d been sitting in the dark for years. And once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
Around that same time, something else started happening.
Thoughts would arrive. Quietly, persistently, like messages. Little truths about life, about people, about what it means to be human in this world right now. I’d sit with them, turn them over, and think, “Where was this when I needed it?”
And then I’d think, “Someone else needs this right now.”
Because here’s what I’ve been observing: we live in a world that is advancing faster than we can keep up with. Technology, science, and innovation: we are building and creating at a pace no generation before us has ever seen.
But somewhere in all of that, we seem to be losing something.
Kindness. Patience. The ability to sit with ourselves. The willingness to look inward. The art of genuine human connection. The courage to grow. We are so busy becoming more productive that we have forgotten how to become more human.
And I felt deeply, quietly, persistently, that somebody needed to talk about that. Not from a podium. Not from a place of expertise or authority.
Just from life. From the everyday, ordinary, beautiful, messy experience of being a person trying to figure it out.
So I started Evolving Human.
Not because I have answers. I want to be very clear about that. I am not a life coach, a therapist, a spiritual guru, or an expert of any kind. I am simply someone who is paying attention… to her own life, to the people around her, to the quiet lessons that arrive in the most unexpected moments.
A conversation with a stranger that stopped me in my tracks.
A fear I had to walk through before I could see what was on the other side.
A moment in prayer where something I’d been carrying for years finally loosened its grip.
These are the things I want to write about. The full, unedited, human experience—faith, fear, growth, love, healing, the way we treat each other, the way we talk to ourselves, and what it means to evolve not just as individuals but as a species.
Because I believe we are capable of so much more than we are currently living.
I also want to be honest with you about something.
I am not writing from the other side of the journey. I haven’t arrived anywhere. There are things I am still working through, patterns I am still unlearning, fears I am still learning to sit with instead of running from.
But I have decided to grow out loud. To share the lessons as they come, not after they’re perfectly packaged. To be a person in the middle of becoming and to make that becoming visible.
Because I think there is something powerful about watching someone evolve in real time. It permits other people to do the same.
If you’ve ever felt like you were capable of more… more love, more courage, more peace, more depth, but didn’t quite know how to get there, this space is for you.
If you’ve ever looked at the world and thought we can do better than this, this space is for you.
If you’re somewhere in the middle of your own becoming, asking questions you don’t yet have answers to, and carrying lessons you haven’t fully learned yet, this space is absolutely for you.
Welcome to Evolving Human.
I’m so glad you’re here.
